Marina is a city rich with history and diversity.  The city was established in 1918 and incorporated in November of 1975.  Marina enjoys a Mediterranean climate with average temperatures of between 50º and 70º. The Marina State Beach is a well kept secret, perfect for quiet morning strolls, or hang gliding if you are the more adventurous type.  There are two harbors and three airports within 10 miles of Marina, including the newly acquired Marina Municipal Airport (formally Fritsche Field).

From within Marina to its neighboring communities, visitors can explore shops, wineries and restaurants, take in breathtaking views along the coast line, visit the acclaimed Monterey Bay Aquarium, golf at one of the many acclaimed golf courses including Pebble Beach or tour the agricultural valley area.  No matter what your pleasure, visitors will find endless opportunities to experience Monterey County.
