Ribbon Cutting Mixer Host Responsibilities
Marina Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting Mixers are a great
opportunity to introduce the membership to your business and
become acquainted with your services. If you are interested
in having the Marina Chamber of Commerce host a Ribbon Cutting
Mixer, please review the information here carefully. If this
meets your expectations, contact the Special Events Chairperson
or the Marina Chamber of Commerce office to submit your request
and to determine when a possible mixer opening might exist.
General Information
- Ribbon Cutting Mixers are usually held on
Wednesdays or Thursdays, however not during the week of a
regularly scheduled monthly Marina Chamber Mixer
- Ribbon Cutting Mixers run from 5:00 - 7:00
p.m.
- There is no charge for members to attend
- Average attendance ranges from 20-40
What the Marina Chamber Does
- Arrange for an appropriate Government Official
to participate
- Publicize the event (newsletter, broadcast
email & fax, press releases to all of the local newspapers
and radio stations, and submission to "Community Links" on
public access television).
- Arrive at your location at approximately
4:45 in order to set up the sign-in area; bring ribbon, tape,
thumbtacks, scissors
- Display a Marina Chamber of Commerce banner
- Create nametags
- At approximately 6:00, the Marina Chamber
of Commerce President will make a few announcements and introduce
the host. The Ribbon Cutting will follow the announcements.
- Photos of the Ribbon Cutting will be included
on the Marina Chamber of Commerce webpage
What the Mixer Host Does:
- Provide a table and two chairs located at
the entrance to the Mixer area
- Provide appetizers, wine, and water (or some
other non-alcoholic drink) for 20-30 attendees
